This week on The Mindful Psychology Podcast, we are joined by Lisa Kilgour, a certified Nutritionist and Author.
Lisa will talk to us about diet culture, how it sneaks up on us, and how it has effected our perceptions on dieting and our bodies. She will also give us some tricks and mindfulness practices we can use to reprogram our minds, and make healthier choices without deprivation and guilt. One of my favourite notions is that the guilt we feel when eating something "cheeky" actually blocks us from being able to feel what is happening to our bodies when we are eating. Being able to feel what happens in our bodies, truly, is what will allow us to make choices and have them become second nature and not a dietary "sacrifice".
