This week, we are joined by Megan Johnson, Ph.D. Dr. Johnson is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the treatment of trauma. She is a staff psychologist at a hospital in Southern California, and also has a private practice in Santa Monica, CA called Woven Together Trauma Therapy, where she works with adolescents and adults treating trauma, mood disorders, and relational distress. She holds a  Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and completed her clinical internship at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, where she worked with mentally ill inmates providing diagnostic evaluations, competency restoration, and psychotherapy to address emotional and behavioral disorders in the incarcerated population.

She then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System. In addition to her clinical work, she also launched Traumastery in 2020, an online trauma education platform where she and colleague, Dr. Quincee Gideon, demystify trauma and bring healing practices outside of the therapy room.
