Gregory Chair in Business Law and Professor of Law at UC Hastings College of the Law, who has recently published a paper with Ehud Kamar and Kobi Kastiel titled, "The Rise of Bankruptcy Directors." The paper analyzes the proliferation of bankruptcy experts who often join a board of directors on the eve of a bankruptcy filing as “independent directors,” and the impact of such directors on bankruptcy outcomes, including creditor recoveries.
