外媒不懂中国文化，竟用纸钱贺新年？纸钱的英文可不是 paper money！

around the corner 即将来临

*常搭配just，right等表强调的副词， just/right around the corner, 形容某件事指日可待，马上就要到来。

The new year is around the corner。

新的一年即将来临。

With the College Entrance Examination around the corner, I am very nervous. 

高考在即，我非常紧张。

joss paper 纸钱

*joss /dʒɑːs/ n. 中国神像; 偶像，joss paper也就是祭祀所用的纸，即纸钱。另外纸钱也可以用spirit money来表示。

It is forbidden to burn joss paper on the street.

在街上烧纸钱是被禁止的。

The image accompanying the recipes showed joss paper. 

食谱的配图里出现了纸钱。

inappropriate /ˌɪnəˈproʊpriət/ adj.不适当的；不合适的

*inappropriate behavior/language 不恰当的行为╱语言； clothes inappropriate to the occasion 不得体的衣着

发音要点：字母o在单词里读双元音/əʊ/
