Hey, Teacher Friend!   If you were to Google "Test Prep" "Tired of Teaching to the Test" "Teachers with Unrealistic Expectations" you might as well just take a deep breath-it's all over the internet!  Tired of conforming? Tired of saying "I'm no longer going to worry about these formative assessments, all of this testing or my evaluations. I'm going to focus on the students!"  But you find yourself, over and over again, sinking back into fear and frantically preparing for all the things we know are keeping us chained? Teachers know this isn't high value teaching, and parents want more for their child.  However, dissatisfaction doesn't seem to be a big enough motivator for change.  Especially when you hear the voice of fear whispering throughout your day, "It is what it is. Don't even think about bucking the system. Do you really think you can do better?" But you can do better. Our children deserve better.
