正文：For decades, the Strait of Hormuz has served as the global economy’s maritime jugular—a narrow conduit through which a fifth of the world’s oil supply flows. Today, that vein is being throttled. Since late last month, following a series of strikes as the US-Israel conflict with Iran intensified, the waterway has been effectively paralyzed. Into this volatile theater, Tehran has tossed a bold financial gambit: a "yuan-for-passage" arrangement. While the proposal offers a symbolic boost to China’s currency ambitions, Chinese observers are greeting the news with profound skepticism, warning of the strategic traps lying just beneath the surface.
