(0:59) - “I don’t have the card…” Let’s address the elephant in the room. It can only mean you must’ve lost the sale earlier and you just didn’t notice or hear them get disengaged. So if someone throws this line to you it’s not a big deal, just wait.
(1:58) - Try to accommodate the customer by giving them options. Tell them it’s okay. “Why don’t we get you started with the current card you have and swap it out later” and so on.
(2:53) - Make sure to ask them if the proposed solution is fair enough. Try to also down-sell from there like “Why don’t we just use the card that you've got and I'll just put a two-day delay on it?”
